Abstract

The article presents the oeuvre of contemporary Altai artist A.N. Potapov. His biography and stages of professional growth are presented; the major works by A.N. Potapov are analyzed. Particular emphasis is placed on the main theme of A. N. Potapov’s creativity – the revival of the tradition of folk popular print graphics – "lubok"; at the same time the specifics of this area is analyzed.
