Abstract

With the permission of the outstanding scientist Lokesh Chandra, we continue to publish articles from his “Dictionary of Buddhist Iconography” (New Delhi, 2005) translated by S.M. Belokurova. Previous publications are in issues 4-6 and 8-11 of "The Art of Eurasia" journal. The focus of this article is Vishvamata, “Mother of the Universe”, her iconography in various versions is given. The article is illustrated.
