Abstract

With the permission of the prominent scholar Lokesh Chandra, we publish articles from his Dictionary of Buddhist Iconography (New Delhi, 2005) translated by S.M. Belokurova. You can find the previous publication in No. 4 of the "Art of Eurasia" Journal. In the current issue, the publication is dedicated to a work from the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Fine Arts named after Zanabazar in Ulan Bator (Mongolia): the thangka "25 princes of Shambhala".
