Abstract
Altai Krai is the birthplace of Academicians and Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Arts Viktor Grigorievich Kalinin, Vadim Viktorovich Ivankin, Anatoly Ivanovich Alekseev, Vladimir Nikolaevich Gorislavtsev, Vladimir Sergeevich Muratov, Mikhail Yurievich Shishin. Here they were born, here their dream was born to connect their life with the fine arts. Moscow and St. Petersburg, Irkutsk and Novosibirsk, Gus-Khrustalny and Barnaul – the cities where our famous compatriots lived and live and create today, our pride. Altai for many of them is not just a small homeland, but the land where they derive their inspiration, they dedicate their works to it, the connection with it they cherish and take pride. In September 2017 – the eightieth anniversary of the establishment of Altai Krai. This anniversary is devoted the exhibition «Famous compatriots–for the Altai Territory» in the State Art Museum of Altai Krai.
