Abstract
The paper is devoted to the artwork of the Far Eastern artist of Buryat origin Alexander Vasilyevich Gunzenov. He occupies a special place in the artistic life of Primorsky region, having developed as an artist far from his native places, but retaining the features of the original national culture in painting and drawing. The author investigates the origins of the specific imagery of the artist's works, the connection with Buddhist motifs.
