No. 1 (32) (2024): Decorative and applied art of the Urals
Decorative and applied art of the Urals

Issue No. 1 (32) of The Art of Eurasia Journal focuses on the decorative and applied arts of the Urals region. The central section of the issue includes studies on artistic cast iron casting, jewellery art, and relief icons created by Ural masters.

The “Eurasian Heritage” section offers an opportunity to explore lesser-known Russian icons, delve into the history of Bronze Age art in Mongolia, and visit one of the largest complexes of rock paintings, which has already been included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Our journal is one of the first in the Russian art history to tell about very interesting, original and sincere folk masters of house painting from India, about the costumes of the peoples of northern China.

Furthermore, this issue includes studies on the graphic heritage of Julia Reitlinger and Grigory Likman, the artwork of the Chinese realist painter Wang Shenglie, and the attribution of objects from the collection of Western European art at the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum.
