Fine art at the First Ural Cultural Forum

Abstract

From 5 to 8 June 2019, the First Ural Cultural Forum was held in Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk Region. The founder of the large-scale event was the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Urals Federal District, and the organizer was the Ministry of Culture of the Sverdlovsk Region. The motto of the forum "Culture - the strategy of the nation" reflects the consolidation of the creative centers of the Ural Federal District, the creation of a single socio-cultural space of the district, the determination of the prospects for the development of the social and cultural sphere and art education in the regions. The events of the forum were held at 45 sites in the city and region, the program included 86 events, which brought together 211 experts and more than 2,800 participants. The range of areas of the forum's work is extensive: traditional culture and folk art, fine arts, museums, musical art, theater, cinematography, preservation of cultural heritage, reading infrastructure, art education.
