Issue 1 (4) 2017 of “The Art of Eurasia” Journal presents studies of the art of the great continent, stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. One of the highlights of this issue is the section “Eurasian Heritage”, which we devoted entirely to Buddhist iconography and where we began to publish excerpts from the Dictionary of Buddhist Iconography by Indian academician Lokesh Chandra. This outstanding work deserves the greatest attention and is extremely in demand among researchers of Buddhist art.
