Abstract
The article examines the work of the artist V.I. Surikov, associated with Khakassia. For the first time, the author systematized the artist’s works during his Khakass trips in 1873, 1892, 1994 and the 1909s. In the paintings and graphic works of V.I. Surikov captured the traditional world of Khakass life, which became for him a source of creative inspiration. In addition, Khakassian works demonstrate the process of studying characters, as well as the formation of the structure of construction, the color gamut of the depicted objects, and the image technique. These works are little known to the general public and undoubtedly entered the artistic heritage of V.I. Surikov.
