Abstract
The following article discusses about stamps and signs, which found from the area of Bayan Ulgii province, including their origin and meaning. About 57 stamps have been found from the area of Bayan Ulgii aymag. Their origin is related to the bronze and iron ages, as well as ancient Tureg period. We conducted a comparative survey including following issues. 1: usage of stamps, some of Kazakh and Mongolian tribes still use the stamps and this is related to the old custom of honoring stamps. 2: About widespread stamps of ongin, damar, argal and yangir (mountain goat).
