Abstract

The article substantiates the great importance of copying works of monumental art of Ancient Rus. This allows you to save images even in copies, allows during the copy process, not only to study in detail the technological and content side of fresco cycles, but, according to the author, forms the world, allows integrity to assess spiritual world of the masters of the past. The copy itself must not be fragmented, but to comprehensively cover all of the murals of the temple. High-quality copies of frescoes can be interesting exhibits in exhibitions and should be kept as works of art.
