Abstract
The article considers creative heritage of an Ivan Kopylov art studio pupil – Antonina Emelyanova. She was actively involved in the cultural life of Irkutsk in the 1920s, was denoted by her teacher, as well as by art critics as a promising graphic artist and one of the representatives of the “Siberian style” in art. The article attempts to generalize disparate material about the artist, found in art criticism, to supplement it with new information obtained in the process of working with sources: documents stored in the archive of Irkutsk Regional Art Museum, publications in the periodicals of the 1920s. One of the objectives of the study is to answer the question of what is “Siberian” in art for A. Emelyanova.
