Abstract
Auguste Rodin, one of the founders of the modern plastics, gained world fame thanks to his famous sculptural and graphic works. The focus of the artist's attention over the years was the image of the human body in the process of movement. He was fascinated by this unique biomechanics, which was most clearly manifested in the art of dance. Being in the zenith of glory Rodin became acquainted with the exotic dances of the Khmer Royal Ballet. As a result, more than a hundred and fifty drawings appeared, which opened up the little-studied page of the French master's work.
