Abstract
The article is devoted to the friendship and mutual influence of two masters of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries: the little-known painter Eugene Carriere and his much more famous companion Auguste Rodin. A comparison of the paired works of that and other author clearly proves that Rodin often used stylistic, plot and compositional findings made earlier by Carrier.
