Abstract

Such key concepts of Mongolian temple architecture as harmony, structural semblance, and proportional system are being explained in the article. The author explores semantics of mandala as a universal symbol that transmits the most important metaphysical concept of Universe – Temple – Human semblance. This proves that mandala is the key to understanding proportional system in the composition of sacred buildings.
