Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the scientific heritage of Anna Vadimovna Ryndina, Doctor of Art History, Professor, Honoured Art Worker of the Russian Federation, artist. The aim of the work is to analyse and evaluate the contribution of Academician A.V. Ryndina to the development of scientific understanding of Old Russian and church art of the new time. To achieve this goal, the author reviews and analyses scientific publications, monographs and articles written by the art historian, as well as scientific and educational projects implemented by her, devoted to the development of iconography, production techniques, style analysis, and attribution of objects of Old Russian fine plastic art of the 14th – 15th centuries and wooden church sculpture of the 14th – 18th centuries.
