Abstract
The article focuses on the religious art of the late fifteenth to early twentieth centuries. It delves into the iconography, wooden polychrome sculptures and copper castings that originated from the cathedrals of the Ryazan region. Through the research, the author examines the collection of the Ryazan State Regional Art Museum named after I.P. Pozhalostin, as well as works from other Russian museums and private collections. The main focus of the research is on the stylistic originality of the collection's monuments and the selection of iconography that reflects the significant trends in the development of Russian religious art. The article provides an overview of the collection's most valuable pieces. The author employs comparative-historical and comparative-stylistic methods.
