Abstract
The article is devoted to the 90-year history of the Tomsk Regional Association of All-Russian Creative Public Organization “The Union of Artists of Russia”. The author for the first time explores previously unknown facts and stages in the life of the organization, especially during the period of 1930–1950, when the Tomsk Union was a branch of the West-Siberian Region and then the branch of the Novosibirsk Region. The study introduces information from new sources (archival documents, newspaper articles, handwritten copies of unpublished exhibition catalogues, rare photographs, reproductions of works) into scientific circulation. The article shows the circumstances of the participation of Tomsk artists in All-Siberian and other projects in the field of fine arts, and also notes the role of the leading artists of the organization; mentions significant events, as well as the main works in the work of leading artists, stored in the collection of the Tomsk Regional Art Museum.
