Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the artworks of representatives of the Nizhny Tagil of the second half of the twentieth century. These works constitute the most important section in the collection of modern domestic graphics of the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts. It is noted that, despite the difference in the means and techniques used, the works of the authors of this school are marked by similar features, in particular, the rejection of the image of the visible world and the embodiment of natural motifs mainly in an abstract form. The purpose of the article is to consider the works of some representatives of the Tagil school from the point of view of the commonality of their aesthetic tasks and interests and to trace the continuity of the ways of their artistic expression.
