Abstract
The article dedicated to Russian Academy of Arts from 1997 to 2017. The Russian Academy of Arts, President of which Z.K. Tseretely was elected in 1997, had been set up as an educational institution. Years passed, and this oldest Russian center of art culture has gained numerous number of new functions, and its activities have gained a state scale. Today the Russian Academy of Arts is the highest state art and scientific organization of Russia, the best creative forces of the country are united around it. At the same time, as before, education remains to be the main aspect of its many-sides activities. The modern Russian academic school means not only a complex of professional and technical skills, but also such an important aspect as the development of a personality.
