Abstract
The article considers graphic art of Irkutsk artist Arkady I. Vychugzhanin. The insufficient research of the artist's graphic works led to the question of the need for their further study. The aim of the work was to determine the value of graphic art in the heritage of the master. To conduct the study, the following tasks were set: study the literature on this issue; analyze the graphic work of the artist from the collection of the Sukachev Irkutsk Regional Art Museum and other collections; consider archival documents of A. I. Vychugzhanin. The specifics of the object of study, the goals and objectives determined the need to use the following methods: biographical – to reveal the features of the creative method of A. I. Vychugzhanin; descriptive – for the analysis of graphic material, which served as the basis for the study; analytical – to work with sources on the research problem and the artist’s work. As a result of the study, the main part of the master’s graphic works was found and analyzed, the techniques of some works and their creation history were clarified. In accordance with the goal, the graphic part of A.I. Vychugzhanin and their role is defined.
