Abstract

The article presents an analytical review with the purpose of highlighting artistic and aesthetic methods and principles used by famous North Caucasian artists, graphic artists, and sculptors from Kabardino-Balkaria — Mukhadin Kishev, Ruslan Tsrimov, and Arsen Gushapsha — in their depiction of female images. The study focuses on the serial method of creativity, polystylism, and polysemantics within the concept of so-called receptualism, as well as existential issues within the interdisciplinary fields of anthropology of art and existential art history. These artists have been recognized in Russia and abroad as masters of fine art and have been awarded the academic titles of academicians of the Russian Academy of Arts. However, only the work of M.I. Kishev (1939–2025) has been the subject of a monographic scientific study. There is currently a lack of scientific research on the works of A.Kh. Gushapsha (born in 1963) and R.N. Tsrimov (born in 1952). This article is one of the first attempts to fill this gap.
