Abstract
The article is devoted to an examination of the philosophical and religious direction known as the “metaphysics of light”, with a particular focus on its manifestation in artistic creation, particularly in the work of the impressionists. A concise overview of the development of the metaphysics of light is provided, with a particular emphasis on its core tenets and ideas. These include the notion of light as the foundation of existence and a source of creative force, the idea of light as the power of reason, the presence of different levels of light. Historical-genetic and historical-descriptive methods, conceptual analysis are used as research methods.
