Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of jewellery art of the Ural master stone-cutter, designer, artist A.K. Denisov-Uralsky. The research is based on the documents preserved in the funds of the Mining Museum and presented for the first time in the publication. They were taken in the 1920s from the master's shop in Saint Petersburg. The study aims to reconstruct two lost necklaces based on the author's drawings, having studied the information about A.K. Denisov-Uralsky's jewellery activity and his famous works. On the basis of archival documents the sequence of historical events, as a result of which the property of A.K. Denisov-Uralsky was lost, was restored. The authors conducted a comparative analysis of images of existing jewellery of the master, presented on the modern antique market, as well as reproductions published during the artist's lifetime. The types of chain weaving used by the master, the peculiarities of stone casts design, the form of faceting, the composition of precious stones have been determined. The reconstruction of two necklaces, the brief information about which and the author's drawings were preserved only in the 1915 overlays in the collection of the Mining Museum, was proposed using the modelling method. The results of comparative analysis, as well as the application of modern additive technologies allowed introducing new information about the jewellery work of A.K. Denisov-Uralsky.
