Abstract

The article provides an overview of the Kasli and Kusa artistic iron castings from the collection of the Tula Museum of Fine Arts. The study aims to systematise information on art objects, to identify inaccuracies in the titles of works, and to establish authorship. Artistic features and catalogue data about similar works and in the collections of other museums, primarily the Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, the Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts, the Chelyabinsk State Museum of Fine Arts, and the Zlatoust City Museum of Local Lore were also subjected to comparative analysis. As a result, the attribution of 24 works of art casting has been specified. This will allow for corrections to be made in the collection documentation of the Tula Museum of Fine Arts, to the State Catalogue of the Museum Fund of the Russian Federation, and the use of more complete and verified information about the artworks in their cataloguing and exhibiting.
