Abstract

The article provides an overview of the collection of icon graphic prototypes in the collection of the Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts. The collection of icon graphic prototypes has its origins in the studio of icon painter Trephily Filatov. The author examines the iconographic repertoire of icon graphic prototypes, paying attention to scenes that had been wide spread at Old Believers’ icon painting. Discovered similar compositions in published pieces of Ural Old Believers’ icon painting with the compositions on icon graphic prototypes are examined. Further, the author discusses the stylistic features of a row of icon graphic prototypes having specific traits of artistic style of Nevyansk icon painting. In the article a brief review of studied filigree paper is included.
