Until June 1, 2022, the Russian Academy of Arts has opened the acceptance of applications for participation in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Dialogue of Cultures in History and Modernity. Panorama of artistic contacts — Russia and Italy”, which will take place on November 16–18, 2022.
The Russian Academy of Arts and the Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the Russian Academy of Arts invite you to take part in the conference on November 16, 17, 18, 2022 in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (Moscow, Prechistenka, 21) and online on the Zoom platform with a live broadcast on the YouTube channel and social networks of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Conference topics
- comparative analysis of artistic phenomena in the art of the two countries in the process of their cultural and historical development (15th – early 21st century);
- heritage of the medieval and renaissance tradition in architecture, fine and decorative arts as a result of the interaction of two national art schools;
- Italian artists, architects in Russia: projects, exhibitions, events;
- pensioners of the Imperial Academy of Arts in Italy;
- Italian heritage in the educational academic process in Russia;
- Italy in the notes of Russian travelers, in the work of Russian artists, writers, film and theater directors;
- the contribution of Russian researchers to the study of Italian art and Italian scientists about Russian art;
- collections of Russian art in Italy and Italian art in Russia.
Regulations
Time limit for presentation is 20 minutes. Illustrations must be submitted electronically (in the form of a Power Point presentation).
The publication of conference materials is planned.
Applications
Applications for participation in the conference are accepted until June 1, 2022 simultaneously to two email addresses: nii-arts@yandex.ru and drevrus-niirah@yandex.ru
The subject of the letter should indicate: Conference_Italy and Russia_Application
The application must contain the following information:
- Full name of the participant;
- place of work;
- title of the report;
- abstracts (500–1000 characters with spaces);
- contact details: telephone, email address;
- the intended format of participation (face-to-face or online).
The organizing committee reserves the right to reject applications, the theme and content of which do not correspond to the goals, themes and the scientific level of the conference.
