On May 25–27, 2022, the State Tretyakov Gallery invites you to take part in the international scientific conference "Henryk Siemiradzki and the artists of his circle".
The conference is timed to coincide with the exhibition “Henryk Siemiradzki. Following the example of the gods”, which will be held at the Tretyakov Gallery at Krymsky Val, 10 from April 29 to August 21, 2022.
Employees of educational and scientific institutions, museums, art historians, historians, culturologists and other interested specialists are invited to participate in the conference.
Conference topics
The conference focuses on topical issues of studying the heritage of Siemiradzki and artists of his circle, masters of late academicism; Russian, Polish, European contexts of his work; creative dialogues of Siemiradzki with predecessors, contemporaries and descendants.
Regulations
The meetings will be held in a mixed format: in the Lecture Hall of the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow, Krymsky Val 10) and online on the Zoom platform.
Time limit for presentation is 20 minutes.
Illustrative material - in the format of a Power Point presentation.
Accommodation and meals - at the expense of the sending party.
The working languages of the conference are Russian, English.
Publication
The organizers plan to publish the conference materials.

Applications for participation in the conference are accepted until May 1, 2022 simultaneously to two email addresses: tlkarp@mail.ru and svetlana-solovieva1@yandex.ru.
The subject of the email should be: Conference. Siemiradzki. Application
The application must contain the following information:
- full name of the participant (in full);
- place of work;
- title of the report;
- theses (500–1000 characters with spaces);
- contact details: phone number, e-mail address;
- the intended format of participation (face-to-face or online).
