The Department of General Art History of Moscow State University invites you to take part in the 46th All-Russian Scientific Conference "Lazarev Readings" on February 3-4, 2022. The conference at the Faculty of History of Moscow State University is held annually in memory of the outstanding art historian, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.N. Lazarev (1897–1976), who headed the department from 1960 to 1976.
The conference will be attended by lecturers and graduate students of the Departments of General History of Art and the History of Russian Art of the Faculty of History of Moscow State University, employees of leading universities, research institutes and museums in Russia and Italy.
The scientific issues of the reports will traditionally cover a wide range of topics and subjects and, above all, those areas that V.N. Lazarev was engaged in: Byzantine and Ancient Russian art and Western European art of the Renaissance and Modern Times.
This year, the meetings will be held in an online format on the Zoom platform and will be broadcast on the department's Facebook page. All those who wish to join the conference are invited by the organizers to register by e-mail msuhistoryofart@gmail.com .
