The Saint-Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, Institute of design and arts, Department of monumental art invite artists, art theorists, designers, architects, academics, postgraduates and students to participate in the international scientific-practical conference “Actual Problems of Monumental Art” (11–12 March 2022, Saint-Petersburg).
The conference is organized to bring together Russian and foreign experts in the field of monumental art for a constructive dialogue and exchange of professional experience.
In 2022, the conference is dedicated to the outstanding national painter-monumentalist, icon painter, restorer, teacher — P.D. Corin (1892–1967) — to the 130th anniversary of his birth. It is supposed to consider the monumental heritage of the artist in the field of church and secular painting, his portrait work, activities as a restorer, icon painter and teacher.
The conference is also planned to discuss such issues as the role of traditions and innovations in monumental art, recreation and reconstruction of cultural heritage monuments, synthesis of arts in a spatial environment, pedagogy in monumental art, interaction between a monumental artist and a customer, demand in the profession, etc.

Conditions of participation in the conference

To participate in the conference, you must submit an application by November 25, 2021. After confirmation of receipt of the application by the organizers of the conference, the text of the article should be provided by December 15, 2021. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse to accept an application if the work does not correspond to the thematic or substantive orientation of the conference. Rejected articles are not reviewed.
After notifying the authors of the acceptance of their materials for publication by January 30, 2022, an organizational fee of 1,500 rubles should be transferred to the university's settlement account. The registration fee is paid only from an individual (not a legal entity).
Confirmation of payment (a copy of a payment order or a receipt) should be sent to monumental-painting@mail.ru, and also have it.
The language of the conference is Russian.
Authors of reports will be issued a certificate of participation. Absentee participants, upon request, can obtain a participant certificate in electronic form. Accommodation and meals for nonresident participants are at their own expense.
Time of the conference: March 11–12, 2022. Venue — St. Petersburg, Bolshaya Morskaya st., 18.
Full-time and part-time participation is possible. Based on the conference materials, it is planned to publish a collection of scientific papers included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). Within the framework of the conference, the work of the international exhibition-competition "Creative Spring", a round table, master classes on mosaic, enamel and stained glass are planned.
