On November 8, 2021 the exhibition "Century and Eternity in the Fine Arts of Mongolia and Russia" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Mongolia opened at the Ts.S. Sampilov Art Museum.
The event was attended by the Consul of the Consulate General of Mongolia in Ulan-Ude, Mr. G. Amarsanaa, artists and art historians.
The exhibition brings together more than 50 works of painting and graphics, created in the period of the 19th – 20th centuries by the artists of Mongolia and Buryatia.
There are two sections in the exhibition: works by artists of Buryatia about Mongolia and works by artists of Mongolia. The first section consists of works by famous Mongolian artists. The second section includes works by Buryat artists of different generations created during the period when they traveled to Mongolia for plein-airs or organized exchange exhibitions.
The exhibition runs from November 8 to December 10, 2021.
