Abstract

The article gives an art analysis of the graphic series by the Altai artist Larisa Pastushkova, which appeared after a trip to Greece. The Altai artist is constantly in search of creativity. The inner feeling of her fate as a traveler, as well as the need for public expression lead to the emergence of cycles of works based on the experienced images and emotions. Plunging deeply into the history and culture of a country, years later she creates symbolic compositions filled with elements of ancient culture, the worldview of the author, the mystery of images and signs. The artist draws images from the real world, but becoming part of the picture, they become more complex. Identifying and revealing the multilayered symbolism of her compositions, the author interprets the artistic images created by Pastushkova from the point of view of the Orthodox worldview, which influenced the mentality and the worldview of modern Russian people.
